At Abigail Collins, Made in the USA isn’t just a soundbite, it’s part of our DNA.

We’re grateful to work with family-run manufacturing and fulfillment partners right here in the U.S., where every piece is cut, and sewn in Los Angeles. From the fabric decisions to the final stitch, we stay close to the process - literally. That hands-on collaboration means we can obsess over the details (and we do), making sure each item not only looks great but feels amazing while standing the test of time.

Decades ago, the U.S. had a thriving textile industry. Mills ran across the country, producing high-quality fabrics and supporting local economies. North Carolina, for example was the heart of American denim from the 1940s-early 1990s! Mills like Cone Denim in Greensboro helped define the global standard for quality—supplying selvedge to Levi’s and beyond. But as more brands chased lower costs and faster turnaround overseas, American mills and garment factories started disappearing. With them went thousands of jobs, generations of skill, and a deep connection to how our clothing is made.

By keeping our production stateside, we’re honoring skilled workers and artisans, local businesses, and a slower, more intentional way of making clothes. It’s not always the easiest (or quickest) path, but it’s one that aligns with our values.

The truth is, most people don’t think about who made their clothes. But we do. We think about the cutter who lines up every stripe just right. The sewer who’s been at the machine longer than we’ve been in business. The press operator who knows when something’s finished by feel, not instruction. Keeping production here means keeping that expertise alive.

Sincerely,
Katie & Abby
